The usual narrator spreadsheet starts as a quick fix and then becomes a second part-time job. Royalty-share work makes that worse because the real question is not only what sold, but whether the title is beating the buyout you turned down.
Keep the royalty model next to the rest of the business record. If the forecast sits in one sheet and the payment history sits somewhere else, you still do not have a decision system.
